Our task is to create a 1 minute short film with the title of 'In the life of...' Our filming is restricted to inside the school grounds and therefore we thought that doing a film based on the life of a student would be most appropriate. However, we knew that a one minute film about a normal day as a studemt would be boring and too familiar, so we started to think about a more irregualr storyline.
We decided to film the life of a student who is being bullied by a group of older students at school. Our options are fairly open in this way as different victims have different experiences, for example emotional, physical and cyber bulling. We have decided to use mainly emotional bullying, with some elements including physical and cyber bullying. For example, a close up shot could be used looking at a mobile phone screen with an abusive text message from the bully (or annonamous number). With the physical bullying, we didn't want to use too much and maybe use it on a closing or opening scene.
